Sarah Mandie has been singing professionally for 15 years.
She began her performance career in an acapella group Nude
Rain (1989 –1996) and enjoyed recording, touring
and leading singing workshops in world music acapella and group song
writing and improvisation. She co-devised Vocalsports
for workshop and the Melbourne Fringe
festival season at the Universal Theatre.(1996)
She leads the Klezmer and Yiddish
band Spiel Azoi (1998
–2005) who have released 2 CD’s and appearance highlights
include the Port Fairy Folk festival, Apollo Bay Music festival, the
Queenscliff Music festival and the Famous Spiegeltent and have toured

In 200 she attended Jewish
Music festival in the Ukraine and created solo show Seeking
the Songs of My Ancestors (2001)Guest
singer for New Queensland band Mettaphor
and appeared at Cantebury Folk festival and tour of
New Zealand.
Sarah has featured as the principal female vocalist and co-devisor
with leader Ella Filar in Crows Bar
Cabaret (2001-2004) productions: Kontrol, (Chapel
off Chapel) De-tension,(Carlton Courthouse, 45 Downstairs) the Leader-sheep(45
Downstairs) and concerts (Dantes, Universities and cafes).
Sarah formed Sephardic and Ladino fusion band Soleluna
(2003 –2005) performing Spanish Jewish songs from Spain to the
Balkans and the Middle east including spiritually themed original
compositions. Recently releasing their debut self titled CD. (2004)
Sarah performed as principal vocalist in Kosher Cutlure's Global Jewish
music cabaret Exile and Ecstasy
sponsored by the City of Port Phillip (St.Kilda Memorial hall, 2004)
